01

Industrial automation

Sensor, actuator and cabinet interfaces face different signal, maintenance and environmental requirements.

Field interfaces

Coding, contacts, locking, cable exit and installation clearance.

Cabinet wiring

Termination, conductor range, marking and DIN-rail or PCB mounting.

Environment

Temperature, vibration, sealing state and maintenance mating needs.

Include connection location, mating half, environment, drawings and quantity with your inquiry.

02

Instrumentation & test equipment

Consider signal requirements, handling and cable organization together when selecting precision interfaces for measurement, testing and equipment panels.

Signal assignment

Pin assignment, analog/digital signals, shielding and grounding.

Mating operation

Keying, mis-mating prevention, locking and panel access.

Project validation

Define cleaning, life, contact and testing conditions for the equipment.

Include connection location, mating half, environment, drawings and quantity with your inquiry.

03

Energy & power equipment

Check power paths, signal paths and mechanical installation separately before combining them into a complete requirement.

Power path

Wire size, termination, contacts and ratings at the operating temperature.

Protection & mating

Polarity, keying, mating parts and protection in the applicable mating state.

Assembly & service

Cable routing, bend clearance, inspection and service access.

Include connection location, mating half, environment, drawings and quantity with your inquiry.

04

Electronics & communications

From compact board links to external I/O, align connector form, PCB layout and real signal requirements.

Board space

Pitch, mating height, contact orientation and PCB footprint.

Assembly

SMT/through-hole structure, feeding and inspectability.

External I/O

Contacts, shielding, panel retention and actual protocol requirements.

Include connection location, mating half, environment, drawings and quantity with your inquiry.

Questions to resolve before purchasing.

Is cable information needed for circular connector selection?

Cable-mounted versions require cable diameter, conductor size, cores and shielding. Panel versions need mounting and termination details.

Is the current in a part name valid for every operating condition?

Do not use the name alone. Apply the rating specified for the actual temperature, cable and installation conditions.

Is matching FPC pitch sufficient?

Positions, thickness, contact-side orientation, insertion depth and locking must also be compatible.
